AMEN you said it. But this so called man isnot a man she is a woman if not she would have never been able to concieve a child. So why is the media making such a big ordeal about it. The poor baby is who will catch the harrassment from other children.

You have proved, as you articulated above, that hatred and intolerance are learned. At 14, to have such an open heart and to be so articulate gives me hope. They would have us believe that because Mr. Beatie was labeled a woman at birth, decided this was inaccurate and did what he needed to do to be happy by having a medical operation performed on his body (breaking no laws and probably enduring significant prejudice) met someone he fell in love with and gave birth to a healthy baby who will be raised by two loving parents....they would have us believe that because of this the earth will be bombarded by 100 pound hailstones and pony-sized scorpions?!? I don't know about you, but I would seriously examine my beliefs about a situation if that type of logic is used to justify beliefs similar to mine.

So, let me offer an alternative perspective. Think about what you are using God to justify. Think about how much you love God, how much faith you put in Him and how you think He represents supreme and awesome good. And then look at what you are saying you believe in His honor. That people causing no harm to anyone else deserve to be called "freaks"? That they should be murdered? That one of God's creatures deserves to be treated with this much animosity for bringing another of God's creatures into the world and promising to care for and nurture her? How can you pin that on God? How dare you claim to worship God and then use Him as justification for breaking his laws. God also said "Do unto others as you wish them to do unto you." He also said "thou shalt not kill." Yet we live in a world where God is used to justify the harassment, isolation, torture, rape and murder Transgender people; people who show enough love and passion for the life God has given them to endure financial hardship and the emotional and often physical assaults associated with being Trans. Shame on you for putting that on God. Take responsibility for your own beliefs and consider the possibility that your hateful words and behaviors play a much bigger part in the pain and suffering in the world than one person's choices about themselves and their bodies.

Maybe I'm wrong. But it is also equally possible (and I would argue much more likely) that the people preaching hate on this website are wrong. And think of what is at stake. Reserving judgement from people who are causing no harm to others because you trust that God is a good and loving being seems like a much better risk to take than declaring that you understand God's will enough to justify verbally or physically attacking others He created. I would never pretend to have that much authority.
